Established in July 2019, Pebbles Early Learning Centre is a family-owned and operated early childhood education and care service located in Raby, NSW.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Pebbles Early Learning Centre is seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The successful applicant will plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, play-based educational programs that support children's social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development.
The Early Childhood Teacher will work collaboratively with educators, families and the wider community to provide an inclusive and engaging learning environment that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, developing and delivering age-appropriate, play-based educational programs for children from birth to six years of age.
- Structuring learning experiences in indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials, resources and equipment.
- Planning and providing experiences that develop children's early literacy, numeracy, science, technology, music, creative arts and physical development.
- Providing activities that promote motor skills, cooperative social skills, confidence, independence and understanding.
- Promoting children's language and communication development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes and individual and group discussions.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard.
- Observing, documenting and assessing children's learning, development, interests and progress.
- Identifying signs of ill health, emotional disturbance, developmental delay, disability or other additional support needs and responding appropriately.
- Monitoring children's nutritional, health, welfare and safety needs and identifying factors that may affect their development or progress.
- Developing individual learning goals and support strategies based on children's abilities, interests and developmental needs.
- Maintaining accurate observations, learning records, portfolios, program documentation and progress reports.
- Communicating regularly with parents and families regarding their children's learning, development, wellbeing and progress.
- Participating in parent interviews, family meetings, staff meetings and service committee meetings.
- Building respectful and collaborative relationships with children, families, educators and community organisations.
- Participating in community and family support programs where appropriate.
- Supporting inclusive practices for children from diverse cultural, linguistic and family backgrounds.
- Providing guidance, pedagogical leadership and professional support to educators and other team members.
- Supervising and supporting student teachers undertaking professional placements, where applicable.
- Contributing to the centre's quality improvement planning and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework, child-safe standards and the centre's policies and procedures.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all children.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or another early childhood teaching qualification approved or assessed as equivalent by ACECQA.
- Current active accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority, or demonstrated eligibility to obtain accreditation before commencing employment.
- A current NSW Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one before commencing employment.
- At least one year of relevant experience in an Early Childhood Teacher or similar early childhood education role.
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and National Quality Framework.
- Current first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications, or the ability to obtain them before commencing employment.
- Knowledge of child protection responsibilities, mandatory reporting obligations and child-safe practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prepare high-quality educational programs, observations, assessments and learning documentation.
- Applicants who can contribute additional skills that enrich children's learning and development or other creative programs will be highly regarded.
