Catering Assistant/cook required

Your Current Company

Hays is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Catering Assistant/Cook to support a busy catering operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure full-time hours in a friendly and fast-paced environment for a short term assignment.

Your New Role

Working Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm, you'll assist with food preparation, cooking, meal service, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals
- Food preparation, portioning, and presentation
- Serving customers and assisting during meal service
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage




- Supporting the kitchen team with general catering duties

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience in a catering, kitchen, hospitality, or food service environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable transport and punctual attendance

What You'll Get in Return
- Full-time hours on a casual contract
- Monday to Friday roster with no weekend work
- Consistent 6:00am to 2:00pm shifts
- Approximately 3 months of work with potential for extension
- Weekly pay through Hays
