The Positions: Senior, Associate & Junior Wills & Estates Lawyers

We are offering an excellent opportunity for motivated lawyers at various stages of their careers to join a highly respected Wills & Estates practice in Canberra. Whether you are an experienced specialist looking to lead, an Associate ready to step up, or a Junior lawyer eager to build your expertise, this firm offers a supportive, collaborative, and professional environment that genuinely respects work/life balance.

Depending on your level of experience, you will manage or assist with a high-quality caseload of estate planning, administration, and estate litigation, working within a close-knit team that prioritises mentorship and career progression.

In These Roles, You Will:

- Senior / Associate: Autonomously manage complex estate planning (including testamentary trusts), probate,



estate administration, and contested estate matters, while providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Junior: Assist with a broad mix of estate planning and administration matters under appropriate supervision, gaining hands-on experience and file management skills.
- All Levels: Conduct high-level legal research, draft precise legal documents (wills, powers of attorney, pleadings), and attend client conferences and court hearings as required.
- All Levels: Work closely with clients to navigate sensitive personal matters, providing practical, empathetic, and strategic legal solutions.

About You:

- Senior: 5+ years PAE with extensive, specialised experience in Wills & Estates law and a track record of client relationship management.
- Associate: 3-5 years PAE with solid foundational experience in estate planning and/or estate litigation, ready to take on more autonomy.
- Junior: 0-2 years PAE (or recently admitted/near admission) with a genuine interest or academic background in Wills & Estates and property law.
- All Levels: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- All Levels: Comfortable interacting with clients in a professional, respectful, and highly empathetic manner.
- All Levels: Possess an Australian Practising Certificate (or the immediate ability to obtain one).
