About the role
We're looking for an experienced training leader to head our Civil Construction Design training team. This is primarily a leadership role - leading trainers and assessors, chairing our Industry Advisory Committee, and driving continuous improvement - with the prospect to deliver training or conduct assessment yourself where it's the best use of your expertise, such as specialist content or mentoring newer trainers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of trainers and assessors delivering the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design (currently under Engineer Australia accreditation process)
- Chair and facilitate Industry Advisory Committee meetings
- Drive continuous improvement of training, assessment, and learning resources
- Represent the department at RTO Management Committee and Quality Assurance Committee meetings
- Maintain compliance with the Standards for RTOs and Engineers Australia accreditation requirements
- Training delivery or assessment where it's effective use of your time
About you
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Relevant qualification or substantial industry experience in civil construction, civil engineering, or civil design
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a RTO environment
- Strong understanding of VET compliance and quality assurance
- Confidence delivering training and conducting assessment directly
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong industry network, with the ability to recruit Industry Advisory Committee members and qualified trainers/assessors
- Lead a growing, industry-connected training program
- Play a key role shaping our Civil Construction Design offering through the Industry Advisory Committee
