Day Off is looking for a proactive and organised Cook or Chef to join our team.
The Role
- The Prep Master: Your primary focus is prepping fresh ingredients to perfection, ensuring the kitchen is stocked and ready for the daily rush.
- Service Support: You'll help with service during peak times, ensuring food goes out quickly and efficiently.
- Food Aesthetics: You have a genuine interest in food presentation. You understand that "we eat with our eyes" and ensure every dish looks beautiful and consistent.
- Kitchen Upkeep: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including managing the dishwasher and ensuring the kitchen stays spotless throughout the shift.
Details
- Location: Heart of Southport. Walkable location with bus and tram stops just steps away.
- Status: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
- Shift Hours: Mon - Sun , approx 7:45am - 2:30pm
Requirements
- Experience:
Previous experience in a sandwich shop or cafe environment is highly preferred.
- Active & Proactive: You are a fast mover who sees what needs to be done before being asked.
- Team Player: You have great communication skills (Fluent English) and a positive attitude that adds to the cafe’s vibe.
- Reliability: Punctual, professional, and ready to be part of our Day Off team.
