Full Time Chef – Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant (Wollongong)

Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant in Wollongongis seeking a talented and motivated full time Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. With a focus on fresh, local seafood and high-quality seasonal produce, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a stunning coastal setting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to restaurant standards
- Manage and organise your assigned section during service
- Ensure all mise en place is completed efficiently and to required quality
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Assist with menu development and seasonal menu updates
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
- Minimise waste and follow cost-control guidelines
- Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff as needed
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods




- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For

- Relevant qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Passion for seafood and up-to-date Australian cuisine
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining high kitchen standards
- Team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
