You'll carry a client group of your own, as the person those owners ring first. You'll work across financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, and SMSFs. Your responsibilities include FBT, Division 7A, CGT calculations and small business concessions, tax planning conversations with owners before year end, structuring advice on new ventures, restructures and property purchases, reviewing bookkeeping and BAS work, and coaching the people who prepared it. You'll work with the offshore team so processing volume isn't all yours to carry.

Key responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, and SMSFs

Calculate FBT, Division 7A, CGT and apply small business concessions

Conduct tax planning conversations with owners before year end

Provide structuring advice on new ventures, restructures and property purchases

Review bookkeeping and BAS work

Coach team members who prepared bookkeeping and BAS work

Work with offshore team to manage processing volume

About you

Two to five years in Australian public practice

Ability to take a set of client records from genuine mess to signed financials without a checklist telling you each step





Solid Xero experience; MYOB, BGL, Business Fitness or Karbon experience is a bonus

Ability to explain tax in plain English to someone who doesn't have a finance degree

Australian work rights and a driver's licence
