Due to growth, Hays Business Support is seeking an outstanding Claims Officer to join a highly respected organisation that provides exceptional service and support to individuals during challenging times. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a passionate team, delivering quality, comprehensive claims management services.

Your new role

Based in the Launceston CBD, you will work for an organisation dedicated to supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments. As a Claims Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-level client management and claims support. You will be responsible for an individual portfolio and work collaboratively in a team setting.

You will be the essential first point-of-contact for external clients via phone and email engagement, working cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, managing a variable workload. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing outstanding client service;
- Managing claims in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures;
- Assessing client needs and coordinating appropriate support and rehabilitation services;
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, families and stakeholders;




- Participating in meetings with clients, healthcare providers and other stakeholders;
- Accurate and timely documentation, claim review and record keeping;
- Working with confidential and sensitive information.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll have demonstrated experience in client, claims or case management, along with:

- Relevant customer service, claims or client management experience;
- Experience managing complex client situations and competing priorities;
- High level of attention to detail;
- Solid analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
- Capacity to actively participate and work collaboratively within workplace teams;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, organise and complete assigned deliverables.
