About the role

Paringa Hotel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team on a casual basis. Based in Paringa, near Renmark, South Australia, this is a hands-on role essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our guests expect. As a casual team member, you will have flexibility in your scheduling whilst contributing to creating a welcoming environment throughout our hotel and motel facilities.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction and upholding the reputation of Paringa Hotel.

What you'll be doing

- Hotel cleaning - Ensuring all areas of the hotel, including dining room, bar areas, gaming room, toilets, common areas and public spaces, are cleaned to a high standard including dusting, removing rubbish, sweeping and mopping of floors and vacuuming
- Housekeeping - Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, changing bed linens and restocking guest rooms with towels, toilet paper and amenities
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages or areas requiring attention to the housekeeping supervisor
- Operating cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
- Following established cleaning schedules and procedures consistently
- Responding promptly to guest requests for additional cleaning or housekeeping services
- Maintaining a protected and hygienic work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, ideally within a hospitality setting such as a hotel, motel or similar accommodation facility
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality,



with the flexibility to work varying shifts and times as required over 7 days including weekends and public holidays (early morning starts are required 7-8am)
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner when interacting with guests and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Understanding of health and safety practices in housekeeping operations
- Willingness to follow procedures and take direction from managers

What we offer Approximate rostered hours per week - 15-20 (with potential for more during busy periods). Shifts start around 7-8am and finish around 12-1pm.
