Our Perioperative Clinical Nurses provide additional leadership and advanced clinical competency to our Nursing Team. You will use your extensive experience to provide a mentorship and guiding aspect to assist in the qualified growth of less-experienced nursing team members, supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the Clinical Stream and assist with skill development.
- Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and management of patients to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care - Supporting other staff in the unit to ensure provision of exceptional care to patients in line with best practice, Mater mission and values and policy and procedure - Assist/Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision - Assist/support Nurse Unit Manager with facilitation of quality improvements and patient safety initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency of service and patient care outcomes - Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth, Mater offers a safe, supportive, flexible and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.
