We are seeking an experienced and motivatedProject Engineerto join our civil construction team based at Pimpama. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment, takes pride in delivering quality outcomes, and wants to play an integral role in the successful delivery of civil construction projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Project Engineer, you will work closely with theProject Manager, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and clientsto support the planning, coordination and successful delivery of projects.
You will provide technical and project support while helping ensure projects are deliveredsafely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the planning, programming and delivery of civil construction projects.
Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure effective project execution.
Provide technical support and resolve project-related engineering issues.
Manage project documentation, records, drawings, specifications and correspondence.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site resources.
Monitor project progress, costs, productivity and performance.
Assist with project forecasting, reporting and cost control.
Review project plans, designs and specifications to identify potential issues.
Assist with variations, claims, RFIs and contractual requirements.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
Support the implementation and monitoring of project quality assurance processes.
Ensure compliance with company procedures,
health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
Assist with project handover, completion documentation and close-out activities.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for adriven and capable Project Engineerwho can take ownership of their responsibilities and work effectively as part of a team.
You will ideally have:
A degree or relevant qualification inCivil Engineering.
Experience in civil construction or a related industry.
Robust understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery and engineering principles.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in a demanding construction environment.
A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Proficiency with relevant project management and engineering software.
