POSITION VACANT | CLUB MANAGER | ESPERANCE BAY YACHT CLUB

Esperance Bay Yacht Club (EBYC) is looking for a Club Manager to take the lead on the day-to-day running of our busy club.

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who likes people, enjoys making things happen and doesn’t want every working day to look the same. From managing functions and overseeing the bar, to supporting sailing activities, coordinating staff and volunteers, looking after members and keeping the Club running smoothly – you’ll be at the centre of the EBYC, and you’ll do it all from one of Esperance’s most spectacular waterfront locations.

What you’ll be responsible for The role brings together:

· Day-to-day Club operations and administration

· Bar management and liquor licensing requirements

· Function bookings and event coordination

· Sailing and regatta administration

· Member and marina administration

· Staff, contractor and volunteer coordination

· Bookkeeping, invoicing and final administration

· Club facilities and maintenance coordination

· Member communications and promotion of the Club

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to come from a sailing or clubs background. You might be working in hospitality,



venue or events management, office or business management, tourism, administration or another role where you’re used to juggling people, priorities and problems.

What matters most is that you are:

· Organised and reliable

· Confident dealing with people

· Proactive and practical

· Comfortable taking responsibility

· Financially and administratively capable

· Able to lead and coordinate casual staff

· Willing to pitch in when the job requires it

Because the Club comes alive outside of normal office hours, the role requires some flexibility in hours.

This is a full-time role, however people seeking part time hours are encouraged to apply, as job-sharing opportunities could be arranged for suitable candidates. Remuneration is negotiable for the right person.
