Commercial Superintendents

About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated Commercial Superintendents to join our clients team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this position provides leadership and oversight of all financial and commercial activities to support safe, efficient, and financially sustainable operations.

You will play a critical role in financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while delivering clear commercial insights to support operational decision-making. Leading the Commercial team, you will work closely with operational leaders, corporate finance and senior management to ensure strong financial outcomes and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring effective cost control and capital management
- Manage monthly financial reporting and close processes, delivering accurate and timely insights
- Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and communicate outcomes to operational and senior stakeholders
- Facilitate cost review meetings and partner with operations to drive improved financial performance
- Provide commercial and financial insight to support capital investment and operational decisions
- Conduct analysis of improvement and value creation opportunities across site operations
- Perform contract performance analysis and support commercial negotiations
- Ensure compliance with financial governance, regulatory, and reporting obligations
- Lead, coach, and develop the Commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Coordinate and report on cost saving initiatives set by the business.




- Facilitate and support meetings with external stakeholders.
- Prepare and present financial report, presentations and technical analysis.

About the Roles Position 1 – Perth Based

- Location: Perth Corporate Office
- Roster: Monday to Friday (5:2)
- Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager
- Previous experience in leading a small team
- Contract negotiation / variation / contract administration experience highly desired and will be preferenced.
- For the Perth-based position, candidates with prior experience in contract negotiation and contract administration will be highly regarded.

Position 2 – Site Based

- Roster: 5:2 / 4:3

- Company vehicle provided
- Accommodation and meals provided onsite
- Reporting directly to the Project Manager, with a dotted line to the commercial manager
- Previous site experience preferred.

About You To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong financial leadership and the ability to operate in a dynamic, operational environment.

You will also bring

- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline

- CA or CPA qualification
- Significant experience in financial management, accounting, or commercial governance roles
- Proven experience in budgeting,



forecasting, and financial reporting
- Advanced financial analysis and cost management capability
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Self-starter that thinks ahead
- Ability to translate financial insights into practical operational outcomes
- Experience within mining.
- Proven experience in the following:
- Commercial contracts and models
- Writing formal correspondence
- Contract interpretation
- Dispute processes
- Stakeholder engagement
- Negotiations

Mandatory requirements:

- CA or CPA qualification.
- Previous experience within the load and haul mining sector.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience within the industry.
- People with only accounting experience will not be considered.
