An exciting opportunity exists for two Community Engagement Coordinators to join a growing community-based program supporting carers throughout the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim region.
This is a rewarding and highly autonomous role that combines community engagement, stakeholder relationship management, outreach, service coordination and direct community support. Working across hospitals, health services, community organisations and local networks, you'll help connect carers with the information, resources and supports they need to thrive.

Your Role Based from the organisation's Nambour office, you'll work predominantly out in the community from a purpose-built Mobile Carer Hub, delivering outreach services across the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim. You'll help carers access the information, services and resources they need to sustain their caring role while building community partnerships, strengthening referral pathways and increasing awareness of available support services.
Regular travel throughout the region will see you engaging with hospitals, health professionals, community organisations, schools, aged care providers and other key stakeholders.
A key focus of the position is strengthening referral pathways, increasing community awareness and ensuring carers can access support when they need it most. You'll play an integral role in developing local partnerships and creating stronger connections between community services and those providing care to loved ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with hospitals, health professionals and community stakeholders.
- Deliver community outreach activities, information sessions and engagement events.
- Build referral pathways and strengthen local community partnerships.
- Conduct intake, assessment and support planning conversations.
- Connect individuals with appropriate services, resources and supports.
- Facilitate peer support activities and community programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve service accessibility and outcomes.
- Represent the organisation within the community and build awareness of available support services.
Your Profile You are a relationship-focused community services professional who enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders and creating positive outcomes within local communities.
You will ideally have
- Experience within community services, health, disability, aged care, mental health, family services or a related sector.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing community partnerships and referral networks.
- A strengths-based, person-centred approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and use initiative.
- A genuine passion for supporting people and strengthening communities.
Essential Requirements
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence.
- Confidence travelling regularly throughout the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim region.
- Confidence working within a mobile outreach environment.
- Willingness to assist with community events, information sessions and outreach activities.
- Certificate IV or higher in Community Services or a related discipline, or equivalent sector experience.
- National Police Check, Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Robust administration and technology skills.
