Our Family Day Care Service is a trusted provider of quality education and care for children aged 0-12 years. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Family Day Care Nominated Supervisor to join our supportive Coordination Unit team.

About the role

You will provide leadership, mentoring and professional support to FDC Coordinators, educators and staff, while working closely with the Approved Provider on the effective operation of the service. You will also lead compliance, quality improvement, educational practice, child safety and team performance.

Key responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operation of the Family Day Care service in accordance with the National Quality Framework, legislation, policies and procedures.

Provide guidance, mentoring and constructive feedback to FDC Coordinators and educators.

Champion child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and children's rights across the service.

Oversee educational programs and practices aligned with EYLF and MTOP.

Lead and contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), audits, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with child protection, Family Assistance Law, WH&S; and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Support effective staff induction, performance management, career development and training.

Build positive partnerships with children, families, educators and the wider community.

Maintain accurate records, documentation and administrative processes.

Work closely with the Approved Provider and report on operational,



compliance, safety and service matters.

About you

A minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), or higher qualification.

Experience as an FDC Coordinator or Nominated Supervisor, or experience in a leadership position within an early childhood service.

Strong knowledge of the NQF, National Law, National Regulations, approved learning frameworks, Family Assistance Law and child protection legislation.

Demonstrated experience in administration, curriculum development, family and community engagement, staff leadership and professional development.

Current approved First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training, together with required child safety and child protection training.

A valid Working with Children Check and the ability to meet all nominated supervisor and responsible person requirements.

Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.

Confident in making decisions and leading a team.
