About Notting Hill Advisory

Notting Hill Advisory is a specialist social impact and stakeholder engagement practice working across major development and infrastructure projects.

We advise developers, government agencies and project teams on stakeholder engagement, social impact assessment and communications, with a particular focus on State Significant Development in NSW.

Our work combines solid written analysis, rigorous engagement methodology and practical advice. We are a growing practice with ambitions to expand our work across infrastructure, energy, transport, utilities, data centres, local government and other major projects nationally.

The Role

We are seeking a capable and commercially minded Consultant – Social Impact & Engagement to join our Sydney team.

The role will suit someone with strong writing, research and analytical skills who is comfortable working across multiple projects and producing high-quality client deliverables.

You will support the preparation and delivery of stakeholder engagement programs, Social Impact Assessments, consultation reports and other project documentation.

You will work closely with the Director and broader Notting Hill team while progressively taking responsibility for your own project workstreams and client interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include

- Drafting stakeholder engagement reports, Social Impact Assessments, and supporting project documentation
- Undertaking desktop research into communities, demographics, planning issues and relevant policy frameworks
- Analysing stakeholder feedback,



survey results and consultation data
- Identifying key themes, issues, risks and social impacts arising from engagement
- Translating qualitative feedback into structured and, where appropriate, quantified analysis
- Preparing stakeholder engagement materials including fact sheets, FAQs, surveys, public notices, presentations and correspondence
- Supporting the planning and delivery of community consultation programs
- Assisting with community information sessions, webinars, stakeholder meetings and other engagement activities
- Maintaining stakeholder databases, engagement records and project documentation
- Liaising with clients, project consultants, government stakeholders and community members
- Supporting project management, including timelines, deliverables and coordination with external suppliers
- Contributing to the continued development of Notting Hill's methodologies, systems and reporting standards

About You You will be a strong writer with valuable judgement, attention to detail and an ability to understand complex projects quickly.

You will ideally have

- Approximately two to five years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent report writing and written communication skills
- Strong research and analytical capability




- The ability to synthesise large amounts of information into concise, logical findings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Confidence working with both qualitative and quantitative information
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- A professional, pragmatic and commercially minded approach
- Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Stakeholder or community engagement
- Social impact assessment
- Urban planning or development
- Infrastructure
- Government or public policy
- Communications or public affairs
- Research or consulting

Qualifications A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, including in areas such as:

- Planning
- Social sciences
- Communications
- Public policy
- Politics
- Geography
- Sociology
- Research
- Economics
- Business

Candidates from other professional backgrounds will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong writing, analytical and consulting capability.
