THE ROLE The Corporate Relations Officer supports the delivery and development of Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s corporate partnerships, with autonomy across day-to-day partner servicing and scope to contribute ideas to partnership projects. The role works collaboratively across the organisation to ensure partnership commitments are delivered effectively and to a high standard.
The Corporate Relations
Officer works standard business hours plus reasonable overtime. The position requires some evening and weekend work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner Servicing and Delivery
- Autonomously manage day-to-day partner servicing, including events, ticketing, Tessitura and benefits tracking
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure partner perks, promotions and events are delivered on time
- Maintain accurate servicing plans, calendars and partner records
- Identify relevant hospitality opportunities
- Keep partners informed, manage deadlines proactively and escalate issues appropriately
- Attend and execute partner events outside standard business hours
- Complete event reporting and reconciliation.
Reports, Proposals and Collateral
- Produce polished reports, proposals and presentations from an agreed brief, turning key points into clear, complete content
- Brief and collaborate with the Design team to produce high-quality, client-ready collateral
- Apply sound judgement to design and presentation quality
- Use AI tools critically and check all output before use
Partnership Development
- Contribute research, ideas and practical options to partnership strategy and project development
- Support acquisition activity and work with the Head of Corporate Relations to shape the best approach
Corporate Programs
- Manage the Subscriber Benefits Program and Corporate Membership Program
- Deliver Corporate Workshop Packages and Corporate Entertainment Packages once sold
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
- High attention to detail and reliability with deadlines
- Ability to manage priorities independently and follow through on commitments
- Strong eye for design and presentation quality
- Sound judgement about what can be resolved and what should be escalated
- Experience with CRM systems
- Strong appreciation of symphonic music and the performing arts
