Why this role exists

Founded in 2024 , our client's busioness was built from a decade of private banking experience and first-hand property investment success. The business is focused on strategic lending for clients pursuing multi-property portfolios, with an emphasis on complex financials, lender policy and sophisticated lending structures.

The Credit Analyst supports the broker by taking the analytical and execution-heavy parts of the lending process and turning them into accurate, well-structured applications. The role combines credit judgement, loan structuring, application packaging and proactive stakeholder management.

What you will own

- Analyse client financial information and complete serviceability and borrowing-capacity assessments.
- Research lender policy and identify lending options that fit the client’s objectives, structure and circumstances.
- Develop loan scenarios, funding positions and pricing requests, and recommend practical structures to the broker.
- Prepare complete lender application packs, including compliance and lodgement documentation, lender notes and supporting evidence.
- Progress applications from submission through formal approval, keeping deadlines visible and issues resolved early.
- Manage day-to-day communication with brokers, clients, lenders, referral partners and conveyancers to maintain momentum.
- Coordinate valuations, credit queries and exceptions, and hand approved applications to settlement with complete documentation and context.

The day-to-day

- Credit analysis & structuring - Review client financials, calculate servicing and borrowing capacity, interpret lender policy, test scenarios and recommend suitable structures.
- Application preparation - Gather and check information, prepare application packs, order valuations, draft lender notes and lodge through aggregator or lender platforms.
- Pipeline management - Own the flow of each application, monitor conditions and deadlines, solve issues early and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Settlement & compliance - Coordinate the handover to settlement, maintain complete records and support compliance and aggregator audit requirements.
- Continuous improvement - Identify recurring friction, improve processes and help the lending operation become more accurate and effective.

Essential experience and capability

- Experience in a credit, lending support, loan analyst or closely related lending role.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain credit and lending concepts clearly.
- High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy, checking and problem solving.
- Advanced capability in analysing financial statements and company returns.
- Confidence working with lending scenarios that involve companies, trusts or more complex structures.

Desirable experience

- Diploma or Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking.
- Experience working with mortgage aggregator platforms and/or lender submission systems.
