Doval Constructions is seeking a capable and practical Project Engineer to support and manage the delivery of specialist civil construction projects across piling, foundations and slope stabilisation works. The position will predominantly operate throughout South-East Queensland, with periodic remote work required across Northern NSW and Queensland's Mid to North Coast. This role will suit an engineer who enjoys being close to the work, managing crews and subcontractors, solving practical construction challenges and taking ownership of projects from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

- Planning, coordinating and managing piling, foundation, drilling and slope stabilisation works from mobilisation through to completion
- Providing day-to-day engineering and operational support to Site Supervisors, Leading Hands and construction crews
- Coordinating site crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment and materials to achieve project programme, safety, quality and commercial objectives
- Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, geotechnical information, construction methodologies and contractual requirements
- Developing and communicating construction methodologies, work plans and sequencing requirements
- Working closely with site crews to resolve technical and practical construction issues
- Monitoring project progress against programme and identifying potential delays or constraints before they impact delivery
- Managing RFIs, design queries, technical submissions and communication with clients, consultants and designers
- Identifying,



documenting and managing variations, additional works and changes in site conditions
- Monitoring project costs, labour and plant utilisation, productivity and material usage

About you

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised engineering qualification
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or similar within the civil construction industry
- Experience in piling, foundations, drilling, geotechnical construction, ground engineering or slope stabilisation
- Practical knowledge or experience across bored or driven piling, foundation construction, ground anchors and soil nails, slope stabilisation and remediation, shotcrete and reinforced concrete, retaining structures, drilling and ground engineering works
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Understanding of construction programmes, methodologies and sequencing
- Sound understanding of civil construction WHS, environmental and quality requirements
- Experience coordinating construction crews, subcontractors, plant and materials
- Strong organisational and forward-planning skills
- Current Australian driver's licence and Construction Industry White Card
