Our HR Shared Service Department Department in Brisbane, Australia, is looking for a Payroll skilled with experience in end-to-end payroll and award interpretation to join our business as:

PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR AUNZ (Part Time | 25 - 30 Hours/ Week)

Purpose of The Job

This part‑time position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our business.

We’re seeking a payroll professional who brings strong technical capability, sound judgement, and a commitment to accuracy — someone who understands that payroll is a core function that directly influences employee confidence and organisational performance.

In this role, you will be a trusted partner to our HR and finance teams, contributing to the integrity of our processes and the quality of the employee experience. Your expertise will help maintain compliance, support informed decision‑making, and uphold the standards our organisation depends on.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Checking the number of hours employees have worked.
- Calculating wages and salaries.
- Issuing employees’ wages by cash, cheque or electronic transfer.
- Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data.
- Calculating pay raises, shift payments and overtime compensation.
- Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them.
- Deducting tax and insurance payments.
- Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters.
- Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in Australian payroll and pension schemes, with a strong understanding of compliance.
- Well versed in interpreting Awards & EBA in any of the following industries: Retail, Manufacturing, Education, F&B; Service/ Restaurant.
- Excellent analytical and calculation skills using Excel (Pivot Table, VLookup)
- Well versed in payrolls and pension schemes in Australia and New Zealand.
- Strong communication skill in English.
- Strong sense of ownership, proactiveness, and agility.
- Great to have: Experience with New Zealand payroll and pension schemes.
