Our client is seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer to join their Customer Service team. Working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, you will act as a key point of contact for residents and stakeholders, providing professional support across phone, face-to-face and digital channels. Your new role

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Providing exceptional customer service across phone, face-to-face and online channels.
- Responding to enquiries, complaints, requests and feedback in line with service standards.
- Assisting customers with applications, payments and general council services.
- Promoting available programmes, services and digital solutions.
- Processing transactions, receipting and reconciliations.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and customer experience projects.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure customer enquiries are resolved efficiently.

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous customer service experience within a high-volume contact centre,



council or similar customer-focused environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple enquiries while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Strong computer literacy and confidence learning new systems.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
