Core Defence Australia (CDA) is seeking experienced Defence Commercial Managers and Commercial Specialists for current and upcoming opportunities supporting complex Defence acquisition, sustainment and capability programs.

We are looking for commercial professionals with demonstrated experience within the Department of Defence, Defence industry or Defence consulting environments.

This opportunity is suited to experienced Defence commercial practitioners rather than general corporate procurement or construction contract management professionals.

What you may be working onDepending on the opportunity, responsibilities may include:

- Commercial and procurement strategy and planning
- Procurement and tender documentation
- Tender evaluation and source selection
- Contract negotiation and establishment
- Contract administration and management
- Variations, amendments and extensions
- Supplier and contractor performance management
- Commercial risk and financial analysis
- Commercial briefs, recommendations and advice
- Stakeholder engagement across Defence, industry and project teams
- Acquisition and sustainment commercial activities

What we're looking forYou will have:
- Demonstrated commercial, procurement or contract management experience within Defence or Defence industry
- Strong understanding of Australian Government procurement and contracting environments
- Experience supporting complex Defence projects, programs, acquisition or sustainment activities
- Ability to provide practical commercial advice and manage commercial activities with limited supervision




- Australian citizenship
- A current Australian Government security clearance, preferably NV1 or higher

- Acquisition and sustainment contracting
- Tender development and evaluation
- Contract negotiation and management
- Contract variations and amendments
- Supplier performance management

- CASG, ASA, GWEO, Defence Digital Group/CIOG, Joint Capabilities Group or Defence SPO environments

Experience may be across Maritime, Land, Air, Joint, ICT or other Defence domains. We are interested in experienced practitioners across multiple levels and are not restricting this search to one particular program or domain.
