Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Dewatering Technicians based in Riverstone, NSW.

Dewatering

Technicians are responsible for installing, operating, monitoring, and maintaining wellpoint and deep well dewatering systems on civil and construction sites. Daily tasks include setting up pumps, pipework, and related equipment, checking system performance, recording water levels and flow rates, and troubleshooting basic mechanical or operational issues.



The role involves working closely with site supervisors and project managers to meet dewatering plans and environmental compliance requirements, while following all safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment. Technicians may also support equipment loading and unloading, conduct routine inspections and minor repairs, and assist with demobilization and site restoration once dewatering activities are completed.

Qualifications

- Experience or strong interest in dewatering operations, trench shoring, or civil construction environments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for working with pumps, hoses, pipework, valves, and related field equipment.
- Ability to read and follow site instructions, basic drawings, and dewatering plans.
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements, including use of PPE and safe work practices.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with site crews and supervisors.
- Current driver’s license; forklift, excavator, or other relevant plant tickets are highly regarded.
- Previous experience in drainage, plumbing, civil engineering, or construction sectors is advantageous.
- Right to work in Australia and availability for full-time, on-site work in Riverstone, NSW.
