Role Description The Digital Transformation / Product Specialist at Colegio de Biotecnólogos del Ecuador – COBIEC will support the design, implementation, and optimization of digital products and services for members and stakeholders. This part-time remote role involves assessing current digital processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to the roadmap for new tools and platforms. Day-to-day activities include gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and monitoring product performance using data-driven metrics.

The specialist will help develop and execute digital strategies, support digital marketing initiatives, and ensure that product features align with organizational goals and user needs. The role also includes preparing explicit documentation, training materials, and delivering virtual support or presentations to users when needed.

- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decisions.




- Excellent Communication abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex ideas clearly.
- Experience in Digital Strategy to plan, prioritize, and optimize digital initiatives and product roadmaps.
- Project Management skills to coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple digital projects.
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing to support online visibility, member engagement, and promotion of digital products.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms (e.g., CRM systems, product management or collaboration tools).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biotechnology, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of the biotechnology or life sciences sector is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is an advantage for communication within the organization and with stakeholders.
