Due to our ongoing growth, DOMA Hotels is looking for an experienced Director of Sales (ACT) to join our growing sales team. The Senior leadership role is accountable for growing and protecting a strong, commercially balanced, and measurable demand pipeline across the ACT portfolio, including the retention and expansion of an established base of business through proactive sales growth, strategic account development, local market development, and relationship-led revenue generation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Hold primary commercial responsibility for business development, market activation, and demand generation across all market segments relevant to the five ACT hotels.
- Ensure each ACT property is optimally supported with a balanced distribution portfolio to reduce reliance on any single account, segment, or demand source.
- Proactively identify new demand sources, emerging market segments, local business opportunities, and commercial partnerships across the ACT portfolio.
- Build, manage and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business, account growth and long-term commercial partnerships.
- Drive outbound sales activity including prospecting, networking, client appointments, relationship management, site inspections, industry engagement and strategic sales initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Coordination Service Centre (CSC) to ensure smooth transitions from business acquisition through to operational delivery and client servicing excellence.
- Develop and generate revenue from meeting and event spaces, including boardrooms and small meeting spaces, by engaging with local business markets and emerging account segments. Work closely with onsite property teams, C&E; Sales and CSC.
- Identify need periods, low-demand dates and commercial opportunity gaps, and develop targeted activation strategies and sales initiatives to support occupancy, utilisation and revenue performance.
- Develop and implement quarterly sales activations and commercial initiatives aligned to financial targets and business objectives, with clear and measurable ROI.
- Maintain robust oversight of account production, pipeline activity, conversion performance and proactive sales engagement to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
- Contribute to annual budget preparation and account forecasting with the Commercial Director, Revenue and Sales team, including projected account production,
segment opportunities and revenue expectations across the portfolio.
- Monitor and evaluate the ROI of client entertaining, hosting, networking and business development initiatives to ensure commercial value and strategic alignment.

- Demonstrated leadership experience in Hotel Sales or a senior commercial role within hospitality.
- Proven success in developing new business and growing key accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Excellent relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Outstanding presentation, communication and networking abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience preparing sales forecasts, pipeline reporting and commercial performance reporting.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Office and hotel sales platforms.
- A sound understanding of corporate, conference, meetings and events sales.
- Strong knowledge of the ACT hospitality market.
