About Us

We are a Brisbane-based design and fabrication firm specialising in custom architectural and landscape projects. We work across design, prototyping, production and installation leveraging an in-house fabrication team whilst also collaborating with external suppliers and consultants.

Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile Technical Designer who can hit the ground running producing detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings, while also taking on some project management support activities such as seeking prices from and placing orders with subcontractors and suppliers. This is an initial 3-day-per-week role with strong potential to expand to full time as our workload grows.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design

- Produce accurate 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using Rhino and SolidWorks
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, cut lists, and assembly documentation
- Translate design concepts and sketches into workable CAD models
- Produce CAM-ready files for CNC routing and laser cutting

Project Management Support

- Order materials and and subcontract items
- Liaise with external suppliers including CNC cutters, metal fabricators, and other subcontractors




- Assist with quoting and job costing where required

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) and SolidWorks
- Experience producing fabrication-ready drawings and cut lists
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication workflows
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines simultaneously
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a drafting/design role (fabrication, industrial, or architectural preferred)

Desirable

- Experience with CAM software or CNC machining workflows
- Knowledge of architectural or structural fabrication standards
- Familiarity with project management tools and processes
- Experience quoting or estimating fabrication work
