- Develop and maintain documentation, planning and assessment that reflects each child’s individual learning journey.

- Contribute to a culture where children’s safety, wellbeing, rights and inclusion are prioritised.

- Create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels a sense of belonging.

- Work collaboratively with your teaching team and contribute your ideas, knowledge and strengths to deliver high-quality educational outcomes.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent.

- Current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).

- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management qualifications.

- Mandatory National Child Safety Training, or a willingness to complete the required training.

- A commitment to maintaining compliance with the Queensland Child Safe Standards, child protection responsibilities and Reportable Conduct Scheme requirements.

- Confidence and commitment to recognising, responding to and reporting child safety concerns in accordance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures, while actively contributing to a positive child-safe culture.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build respectful partnerships with families, children and colleagues to support each child’s wellbeing, learning, development and engagement.

- A commitment to creating respectful, inclusive and responsive learning environments.

- A willingness to undertake ongoing professional development, reflection and learning to remain up to date with legislation, standards and best practice.

- Compliance with Highfields Kindergarten policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
