Leading Hand Operator - Material Recovery Facility

- Early starts from 5:00am to 8:00am, with shifts up to 8 hours per day
- Every second Saturday is required - Sundays and weekly overtime occasionally available

What you'll be doing
- Operating plant equipment such as Balers, Forklift and Front-End Loader are essential.
- Handling and moving recyclable materials across the facility
- Loading/unloading recyclables, stockpiling, and processing materials
- Reviewing production and meeting production targets
- Identify and resolve basic mechanical issues
- Scheduling rosters for the team
- Take on inherent admin duties
What you'll bring
- Baler operation, Forklift and Front-End Loader license and experience are essential
- Proven supervisory or leading hand experience is preferred
- Hands‑on experience as a plant operator; landfill or recycling facility is preferred
- Working knowledge of computer applications
- Willingness to work in a hands‑on workplace
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude and commitment to safety
