About Bondi Records

Bondi Records is one of Australia’s fastest-growing independent record stores.

Founded in Sydney in 2021, we’ve grown into a multi-channel retail business serving more than 70,000 customers, with more than 10,000 titles online and in our Bondi Junction store.

We’re looking for an Ecommerce Assistant to help us grow our online store, keep products accurate and well merchandised, and make sure the records our customers want are available when they want them.

The role

This is a hands-on role across ecommerce, merchandising, stock replenishment and buying support.

You’ll add and maintain products in Shopify, merchandise collections, support promotions, monitor stock levels and help identify what needs to be reordered.

We’re looking for someone with strong digital instincts, commercial curiosity, excellent attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.

What you’ll be doing

Ecommerce & merchandising

- Create and maintain products in Shopify.
- Ensure product information, pricing, imagery and release dates are accurate.
- Add new releases and catalogue titles to the website.
- Merchandise collections and categories.
- Support promotions, pre-orders and product launches.
- Monitor the website for errors, out-of-stock products and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Use sales and website data to understand what customers are buying.
- Help implement new ecommerce tools and processes.

Buying & stock replenishment

- Monitor sales and stock levels to identify products that need to be reordered.
- Help keep bestselling and high-demand titles in stock.
- Review sales history and demand to help determine reorder quantities.
- Assist with purchase orders and supplier orders.
- Review supplier catalogues and recent-release schedules.
- Track incoming stock, availability and lead times.
- Identify fast-selling products, gaps in the range and slow-moving inventory.
- Build knowledge of suppliers, labels and products to make increasingly independent buying decisions.
- Help reconcile incoming deliveries,



stock discrepancies and product information across Shopify and the store.
- Work with suppliers to follow up ETAs, backorders and release schedules, ensuring new arrivals are online and ready to sell quickly.

Across the business

- Assist with customer enquiries relating to products and availability.
- Use AI and automation to make ecommerce, inventory and purchasing tasks faster and more efficient.
- Look for opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Support the broader retail team when required.

We’d love to hear from you if you

- Have experience in ecommerce, retail, buying, inventory or merchandising — or want to build your career in these areas.
- Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Are comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and digital tools.
- Are commercially curious and interested in why products sell.
- Can combine data with common sense to make decisions.
- Enjoy improving processes and finding better ways of working.
- Thrive in a fast-moving small business.

Experience with Shopify, Excel or Google Sheets, inventory management, buying, Klaviyo, Google

Analytics or AI tools such as ChatGPT would be useful, but isn’t essential.

An interest in music and vinyl is a big plus.

What success looks like

Products are accurate and launched on time. The website is well merchandised. Bestsellers stay in stock. Reordering decisions become smarter and more data-driven.

You’ll become increasingly confident across ecommerce, inventory and buying while helping us improve the way we sell and manage thousands of products.
