As an Early Childhood Trainee at Dayaa, you will work alongside our experienced and qualified educators to support children's learning, development, wellbeing and everyday experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Build meaningful and respectful relationships with children and families
- Support educators in providing high-quality, play-based learning experiences
- Assist with setting up and maintaining engaging learning environments
- Participate in children's routines, including meals, rest, hygiene and transitions
- Learn about the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF 2.0)
- Develop your knowledge of child development and early childhood practices
- Gain practical experience while completing your Certificate III
- Work as part of a supportive and collaborative team
About you
- Currently enrolled in, or willing to enrol in, a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Commitment to completing the required training and work placement
- Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Commitment to child safety and safeguarding
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Warm, caring and genuinely enjoys working with children
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Reliable, punctual and committed to their studies
- A positive team player who is willing to contribute
- Respectful and professional in their communication
