Entry-Level Yardhand | Full Training Provided | Kewdale WA

This is an entry-level position with full training provided. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Reliability, commitment and a strong safety focus are more important to us than extensive industry experience or multiple licences and tickets.

Mabey Hire Pty Ltd provides hire equipment and support services to the construction and infrastructure industries across Australia and New Zealand, specialising in groundwork and shoring solutions.

This is a FULL-TIME role on offer, Monday to Friday, 38 hours guaranteed, with overtime opportunities, paid annual and personal leave, public holidays, and no rain days. We are looking for someone seeking stable, long-term employment with opportunities to learn and grow within the business.

This role would suit someone looking to start or build a career in yard operations, equipment hire, warehousing or logistics. Previous yard, warehouse, labouring or forklift experience is beneficial but not essential. We provide training and support for the right person who is reliable, physically fit and willing to learn.

We have a few requirements:

· Forklift Licence preferred. Applicants with previous forklift operating experience and a willingness to obtain a licence may also be considered.

· Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks throughout the day.

· Able to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 20kg as part of daily duties.

· Construction White Card (Must have, can be obtained online)

· Own reliable transport

· Neat, legible handwriting for paperwork including delivery/pick-up dockets





· Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.

· Valid Australian work visa or work rights required for this position

This is a physically demanding role involving regular manual handling, lifting of up to 20kg, working outdoors and operating equipment. Applicants must be able to safely perform the inherent requirements of the position.

Your duties will include:

· General maintenance and housekeeping of the yard

· Loading and unloading hire equipment from trucks

· Cleaning and preparing hire equipment for customer use

· Painting and presentation maintenance of hire equipment

· Basic equipment inspections and minor maintenance tasks (full training provided)

· Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of company vehicles

· Conducting pre-start checks on forklifts and associated equipment
