Due to our continued success and business growth we are looking to add to our Estimating team with a Construction Estimator to support our sales and production staff.
Previous experience in a similar role, Carpentry Trade, Building or Drafting background an advantage but not necessary, training in all estimating software will be provided.
The Role
We are searching for a confident, industry-experienced individual who demonstrates the ability to work well within a structured, team-orientated culture.
You will be exposed to a varied array of residential construction projects where your responsibilities will include:
Role Responsibilities:
- Estimating on a wide range of homes including single story, split-level and double-story designs
- Reading and interpreting construction plans
- Creation of pre and post-contract variation pricing
- Work within the key indicators of an Estimator (accuracy & efficiency)
- Compiling preliminary standard pricing and preparing accurate base cost for standard projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
- Construction advice to sales team.
The following are preferred, but not essential:
- Knowledge of Construction plans, Specifications, Building practices and materials, work and safety standards related to residential homes.
- Relevant estimating and or trade experience and qualifications for working on volume and/or custom build projects
- Experience with estimating software an advantage
- Computer literacy,
- Excellent communication skills required for both internal employees and external suppliers and stakeholders
