MCI Australia is looking for an enthusiastic Event Assistant or Intern to join our Corporate Events Team in Sydney.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year student with a genuine passion for events and creating memorable experiences. The role can be structured on either a part-time basis to support study commitments or as a full time position for graduates looking to launch their career.
You'll work alongside experienced project managers and creatives, gaining hands-on experience delivering corporate events for leading brands across Australia and beyond while building the foundations of a long-term career in the events industry.
You'll have the chance to work on conferences, brand activations, incentives, executive experiences, product launches and other creative corporate events, learning from some of the industry's most experienced event professionals.

What you'll be doing
Supporting our project delivery team to:
- Plan and deliver corporate events and experiences
- Coordinate event logistics, registrations and attendee communications
- Liaise with suppliers, venues and internal stakeholders
- Support event managers with project administration and scheduling
- Assist with on-site event delivery and the delegate experience
- Contribute ideas and creative solutions to enhance event outcomes
- Learn the fundamentals of event budgeting, planning and project management
- Support multiple projects across live, virtual and hybrid event formats
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who brings positive energy, values collaboration and contributes to a great team culture. Most importantly, you'll care deeply about delivering great work, supporting your teammates and creating exceptional experiences for our clients.
Specifically, you will:
- Have completed, be studying towards, or have an interest in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or a related field
- Have a genuine desire to build a career in event management
- Possess a confident, people-oriented personality and a willingness to learn
- Be proactive and comfortable asking questions when guidance is needed
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
- Be willing to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to occasionally work flexible hours and attend events outside standard business hours
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, volunteer or event experience will be viewed favourably but is not essential
