About the Role The Events Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events, ranging from small co-sponsored industry functions to large-scale organisation-led events. This Contract position (Ending December 2026) will be working closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, suppliers and venues, the role ensures all events are professionally executed, aligned with organisational objectives and deliver an outstanding attendee experience. The position also supports broader marketing and communications initiatives, contributing to customer engagement, brand awareness, stakeholder relationships and the achievement of organisational outcomes.
Reporting to the General Manager, Customer Experience & Engagement, key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Lead the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events, including in-person, virtual and hybrid formats.
- Develop event plans, timelines, budgets and project schedules aligned to organisational objectives.
- Manage end-to-end event delivery, including logistics, venues, catering, travel, registrations and attendee communications.
- Coordinate and manage suppliers, agencies, speakers, sponsors and external partners.
- Oversee event execution, on-site management and post-event evaluation and reporting.
- Manage participation in sponsored and partner events, ensuring all sponsorship obligations are met.
- Monitor event budgets and expenditure, ensuring cost-effective delivery and strong return on investment.
- Analyse event outcomes and recommend improvements based on insights and feedback.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on event promotion, content creation and campaign activities.
- Provide broader marketing, administrative and operational support across the Customer Experience & Engagement team as required.
About You The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:
- Proven experience managing corporate, industry, membership, B2B or professional services events from planning through to delivery.
- Strong project management, organisational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
- Confident stakeholder manager with strong relationship-building, communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing event budgets, suppliers, sponsors and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management/registration platforms.
- Qualifications in Events, Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline are highly regarded.
- Experience in membership, association, qualified services or corporate environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms, and sponsorship management, is desirable.
