Events & Functions Manager

Reporting To: Executive Manager - Service Delivery

About the Chance An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially minded Events & Functions Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of events and functions. This role is responsible for driving exceptional customer experiences, leading a high-performing team, and maximising event and function revenue through outstanding execution and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of events and functions across multiple venues and event spaces.

- Oversee event operational plans, venue setups and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure seamless execution.

- Provide leadership, coaching and support to team members involved in event delivery.

- Build strong relationships with clients and manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to event completion.

- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.

- Drive opportunities to increase event bookings, with a particular focus on weddings, corporate functions and revenue growth.





- Monitor event performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in events, functions, hospitality or venue management.

- Demonstrated experience in wedding sales, planning and coordination.

- Strong leadership capability with experience coaching, motivating and developing teams.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities.

- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

- A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations and event logistics.

- Current RSA and RCG certifications.

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related discipline.

- Experience working within high-volume hospitality, entertainment or event environments.
