Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Examinations & Governance to join Office of the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Business and Law. The Examinations and Governance Officer works closely with the Associate Dean, Education, the Director Curriculum and Academic Programs, and the Student Services Operations Manager The role’s primary and inter-connected functions include: 1) coordinating and applying timely and accurate policy advice and support to staff and students in relation to the range of examinations policies and processes within designated timelines; 2) providing full and detailed secretariat support to a range of examinations, student conduct and teaching and learning related committees; 3) coordinating and contributing to the maintenance of appropriate Faculty records and reports including quality assurance information and analysis of examination outcomes; and 4) coordinating and administering Faculty academic governance processes including but not limited to academic and general misconduct, appeals, and other student academic administration processes, ensuring the consistent application of University policies and procedures.

The Examinations

Officer liaises with various University departments to provide advice and assistance across the Faculty in relation to the application of relevant University and Faculty policies and procedures connected to examinations and misconduct processing and reporting.

What You Need To Succeed

- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree in conjunction with subsequent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex policies and procedures and provide explicit and consistent advice to clients by applying knowledge of corporate systems, structures and operations.
- Evidence of the ability to actively participate in effective work teams, which will enable the appointee to contribute to continuous improvement objectives and excellence in client service.
- Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills which enable the appointee to produce succinct and timely correspondence, submissions and
- Proven ability to use initiative to plan, organise, set goals and develop priorities to complete projects by deadlines as well as manage competing priorities, whilst working under minimum supervision and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, University systems used in managing, reporting and recording student and academic information.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
