Good Friday Appeal

Melbourne

The Good Friday Appeal is an iconic not-for-profit charity established to raise funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital. Since 1931, the Appeal has raised $492 million to fund research, equipment, education, training and patient centred care programs at the hospital.

The Good Friday Appeal is supported by a small team who works closely with our generous partners, supporters, collection groups and volunteers who come together in the spirit of raising funds for the hospital.

Are you a high-output content creator who lives and breathes social trends? The Good Friday Appeal is looking for a Social Media & Content Specialist to completely own the creative execution, scheduling, and strategic growth of our organic digital channels across both the Good Friday Appeal and Run for the Kids.

If you know how to turn platform analytics into viral short-form video moments, thrive in a fast-paced workplace, and want your work to directly support The Royal Children's Hospital, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities

- Rapidly concept, film, and edit engaging short-form video content (TikTok & Instagram Reels) at pace while maintaining brand aesthetics.
- Build, schedule, and maintain a high-volume organic multi-platform content calendar for consistent community engagement.
- Act as the main digital contact for our network of influencers, delivering clear briefs and campaign assets.

- Analyse platform metrics to proactively optimise content performance, reach, and audience growth.
- Develop scalable video templates, manage commercial content schedules, and deliver post-campaign reports for sponsors.
- Design eye-catching digital assets in Canva at speed and manage website content updates focused on user conversion.
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager with operational backup for Meta/Google Ads and oversee the secure, compliant management of the patient stories database.

What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years of digital marketing or content strategy experience, with a track record of managing complex projects or people.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, or a related creative field.
- High level video editing and design expertise using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva.
- Proficient with CMS platforms (WordPress), CRM systems (HubSpot), SEO best practices, and GA4 analytics.
- Practical experience managing and troubleshooting Meta Ads Manager, TikTok ads, and Google Ads campaigns.
- Strong eye for visual design combined with a proactive, forward thinking approach to continuous account growth.
- Calm, fast moving, and highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines during peak campaign lead ups.
