About The Role
We are seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to support the smooth operation of our site. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will be responsible for the maintenance and performance of our buildings, airfield, grounds, fire, hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and baggage handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and assess priority of reactive maintenance items, coordinate any make safe or interim arrangements, engage trades, coordinate access and oversee repairs
- Understand maintenance contracts including cleaning and grounds, overseeing delivery of works onsite, check works against contracted scope, ensure quality and records of service are met, attend contract reviews, hold and record joint site inspections
- Implement the permit to work process and ensure compliance – collecting and reviewing insurances, SWMS, licences along with organising permits onsite
- Active management of works onsite, auditing performance and delivery in line with agreed methodology and WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
- Review and monitor building management systems including mechanical, hydraulic, lighting, and fire systems – assess and investigate faults, alarms and trends
- Support the Head of Facilities as required
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in facilities management or a comparable role at a site or sites of sufficient complexity
- Trade awareness and functional knowledge of building and maintenance systems including fire, electrical, HVAC, and hydraulic
- Fluent in the use of asset management software
- Experience monitoring and navigating building management systems
- Experience implementing WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to triage and manage multi-task job priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Class C driver's licence
