Vehicle Body Builder role involving manufacturing and repairing truck bodies and trailers using metal, fiberglass and other materials, and assembling components to create finished vehicles.

Key responsibilities

- Manufacturing truck bodies using metal, fiberglass and other materials using welding equipment, guillotine and other hand tools
- Riveting and welding sections together to form truck bodies and parts necessary
- Installing parts in the internal of trucks such as switches and dash lights
- Attaching toolboxes and wheel lifts to the subframe of trucks
- Repair damages to metal using welding equipment
- Interpret engineered drawings to manufacture steel bodies
- Grinding of steel to clean up welds
- Installing rubber seals, locks and handles on toolboxes

About you

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a welder
- Experience in the operation of MIG, Oxy, Plasma cutter, hand and power tools
- Qualified welder/boiler maker would be advantageous but not necessary
- Positive work ethic
- Reliable
- Takes pride in their work
- Works well in a team with effective communication skills
