Newcastle Health Enterprise is looking for a full time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, family-orientated team in Charlestown.
We are a busy paediatric medical practice providing a range of specialist services to children and their families. Our days are fast-paced and varied, with high-volume patient interaction, administration and problem-solving balanced by a supportive team environment and a great workplace culture.
This is a role where you will always be kept busy - no two days are exactly the same!

What you'll be doing
Your role will be varied and will include:
- Welcoming and assisting patients and families
- Answering phones and responding to patient enquiries
- Booking and managing appointments
- Processing referrals and patient paperwork
- Patient billing and payments
- Managing emails and day-to-day correspondence
- Communicating with GPs, specialists and other healthcare providers
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Managing recalls, follow-ups and administrative tasks
- Supporting our doctors, nurses and allied health team
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting throughout the day
- General reception and administrative duties

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Previous medical reception experience will be highly regarded, however, the right person and the right attitude are just as important to us as experience.
