We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with MaxMara in Victoria, Australia.

Are you a driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for visual merchandising? We invite you to join our team as a Visual Merchandising Assistant, a role that promises an enriching experience in the dynamic world of luxury fashion.

As a Visual Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in bringing our visual merchandising strategies to life. This position offers hands-on experience in implementing creative merchandising guidelines, deepening your expertise in visual merchandising tools and strategies.

Based in Melbourne, you will be required to travel to our store locations to complete fortnightly rotations.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Guideline Execution: Implement visual merchandising guidelines provided by the Visual Merchandising Manager with precision and creativity.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the care, maintenance, and proper use of visual merchandising tools and equipment, including mannequins and display fixtures.
- In-Store Reporting: Communicate in-store observations and considerations to the Visual Merchandising Manager, ensuring alignment with overall merchandising strategies.
- Collaborative Engagement: Engage in open discussions regarding opportunities and challenges encountered in-store, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Event Support:



Assist with the setup of in-store events and promotional displays as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyse product and sales reports to ensure your visual merchandising efforts are targeted, effective, and aligned with sales objectives.
- Brand Style Adaptation: Understand and apply the distinct visual styles of different brands, ensuring consistent and impactful presentation across all locations.

Key Competencies:

- Visual Merchandising Experience: Proven experience or exposure to visual merchandising duties within a retail environment, demonstrating a solid understanding of industry practices.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring that all visual displays meet high standards of accuracy and presentation.
- Design and Visual Principles: Strong grasp of basic design and visual principles, with the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and effective displays.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to strategically plan and organise visit content to align with both business objectives and client needs, optimising the impact of visual merchandising efforts.
- Physical Endurance: Willingness to engage in physical work, including setting up and adjusting displays, with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with an understanding of how to prioritise tasks effectively and efficiently within the constraints of the role.
- Adaptability: Flexibility in adapting to various store operations, environments, and team dynamics,



ensuring seamless integration into different settings.
- Continuous Learning: A proactive attitude towards learning and expanding knowledge, staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in visual merchandising.
- Solution-Oriented: Solid problem solving abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to challenges that arise in-store.
- Decisiveness: Confidence in making informed decisions based on available data and observations, with the ability to act decisively and effectively.
- Creativity: Ability to think creatively and innovatively, bringing fresh ideas to visual merchandising strategies and display concepts.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and managers, ensuring clear and constructive interactions.

Please note there is no requirement for you to drive a car as all of our locations are accessible by public transport.
