Field Assistant Needed for Temporary Work on Major Gold Mine

Your new company A leading gold producer with a long-standing presence in Western Australia is seeking a Field Assistant to join its exploration team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of exploration activities while working alongside experienced geologists and drilling crews on an active mining operation.

Your new role

As a Field Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting RC and diamond drilling programs
- Collecting, processing and dispatching geological samples
- Assisting with core cutting, core yard activities and sample management
- Preparing drill sites and conducting rehabilitation works
- Maintaining exploration equipment, vehicles and field supplies
- Assisting geologists with mapping, sampling and field data collection
- Conducting QA/QC checks and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Working closely with drilling contractors and site personnel
- Adhering to all site safety procedures and standards

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience in an exploration Field Assistant role or similar mining environment




- Exposure to RC and/or diamond drilling programs
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical outdoor work
- Current manual driver's licence
- High attention to detail and solid organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
- National Police Clearance and relevant site compliance requirements (or ability to obtain)
