Role Description The Field Service Technician / Network role is a temporary, in office position based in Mackay, QLD. This role involves visiting client locations to install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, cabling, and related hardware.

Responsibilities include performing network surveys, supporting racking and stacking activities, and assisting with secure disposal of obsolete IT equipment in accordance with company standards. The technician will troubleshoot network issues, provide front-line technical support,



and document work performed to ensure accurate records and smooth handovers. Collaboration with other field engineers and clients is required to deliver reliable, efficient network solutions that align with customer requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Computer Networking and Network Administration to install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose issues, resolve incidents, and assist end users effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to help implement secure configurations and support basic security best practices.
- Relevant experience working as a field technician or network support professional, preferably in commercial or industrial environments.
- Ability to work on-site, including handling and lifting equipment, following safety protocols, and adhering to client site requirements.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent training are beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach client locations in and around Mackay, QLD.
