PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Manage the timely and effective use of multi-disciplined resources to achieve “on time” and “on budget” maintenance and capital works for the
Test and Protection section in a safe and productive manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered
Functional
- Support the planning and scheduling process to maximise work completion and minimise down time
- Be accountable for safe, compliant, effective and efficient frontline Power Services functions
- Ensure all projects and jobs are actively managed to ensure safety, efficiency, financial control.
- Provide input into the Planning, Design, Construction, Commissioning, Acceptance into Operational Service, Maintenance, and Renewal of assets
- Ensure workforce is well trained, working with the training team to develop and deliver streamlined practical training
- Manage maintenance and construction activities on Power and Water assets
- Be available to undertake duties on the Specialised Services, Field Supervisor “On Call” roster.
- Scope works and supervise Field Crews in the execution of job activities to ensure works are delivered “on time” and “on budget”

- Manage field crew performance by setting and reviewing goals, providing feedback, coaching and instruction and conducting regular site visits
to audit, measure and record work activity and process performance to ensure the effective and efficient operation of resources
Safety
- Complies with all legislation and codes of practice related to safety and electricity regulation, including PWC’s safety policies and procedures.
- Be a recognised Work Health and Safety leader and take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of PWC staff, contractors, the public and self.
- Records all non- compliance with safety practices and subsequent corrective actions and undertake safety investigations
- Implements audits, risk assessment and hazard management strategies
- Protect the environment in accordance with corporate standards and operational legislative compliance
Customer
- Drive exceptional customer service including improvements in response and rectification compliance and communication with customers
- Address any escalated customer complaints, interacting with customers and other groups within Power Services and Customer Services
Quality
- Assist with business compliance with legislated requirements and management systems including WHS, Environment, Quality, Asset
Management, and Information Security
- Undertake general investigations and prepare ad-hoc or routine reports as required
- Conduct field visits to audit quality of work, efficiency and safety to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Commercial
- Assist in managing operating budgets and capital expenditure for the Power Services Team
- Take ownership for the area’s budget, including time sheet accuracy, job costing and appropriate resourcing. Explain variations from budget.
- Assist in Business Case Development justifying work practice changes or to seek additional funding, demonstrating benefits and associated risks.
