The Opportunity
Resolution Life Australasia is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team and play a key role in the preparation and production of financial reports for the Group.
This role is central to the Group reporting process, supporting the consolidation of financial data, preparation of statutory financial statements and associated disclosures, and coordination of governance activities that underpin timely and high-quality reporting outcomes. Working closely with Finance, Actuarial and broader business stakeholders, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to reporting excellence while supporting strategic initiatives and process improvements across the organisation.
How Will You Make an Impact?
- Assist with Australian Group consolidation activities and the preparation of Group financial reports.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and associated disclosures.
- Coordinate reporting inputs from Finance, Actuarial and other business stakeholders.
- Update narrative reporting and assist with the preparation of financial analysis and commentary.
- Support governance activities to ensure timely, accurate and high-quality Group reporting.
- Provide project management support to ensure reporting deliverables are prepared, reviewed and completed within required timeframes.
- Drive continuous improvement of consolidation, reporting processes and controls.
- Liaise with Finance, Actuarial and other business units to communicate transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with leaders and squads to identify, validate and mitigate the impacts of strategic, regulatory and externally driven change.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of reporting frameworks, controls and stakeholder engagement across the business.

You'll Bring
- CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience in the preparation and/or audit of life insurance financial statements.
- Essential experience within the life insurance, banking or broader financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, financial reporting and Group consolidation processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in an agile environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to enhancing processes and controls.
