Role Description The Financial Analyst (Entry-Level) role at Astra Applications is a part time hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the analyst will assist with reviewing and interpreting financial statements, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting routine financial planning activities. Daily tasks include analyzing data trends, helping track key performance indicators, and contributing to variance analyses under the guidance of senior team members.

The analyst will work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate data collection, maintain up-to-date financial records, and support ad hoc analysis and reporting needs.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Planning and the ability to assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in working with Financial Statements and understanding core accounting concepts.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Financial Reporting, including preparing basic reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or ongoing studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel or similar software).
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in both in-office and remote settings.
