A Day in the Life

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our Cardiac Surgery team based in Sydney. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Cardiac Surgery, you will support customers across your assigned territory by representing Medtronic’s cardiac surgery solutions to cardiac surgeons, perfusion teams and hospital stakeholders. Your highly organised approach and drive will be required to maintain existing customers and develop current accounts within the territory that spans from North Sydney up to Newcastle region.

Cardiac surgery plays a critical role in the cardiovascular care continuum, and this operating unit provides a close connection with cardiac surgeons and the operating room through an extensive and clinically differentiated portfolio. Medtronic is bringing new products and therapies to market in Australia, and this role offers the opportunity to support multiple therapies while introducing new solution.

Your natural ability to connect and communicate will build and maintain strong and ethical business relationships with customers to encourage usage of our cardiac surgery products to achieve sales revenue and market share targets for the territory. 'Hands on' patient contact and the ability to work on campaigns with new technology make this role fulfilling as you get the opportunity to see how our devices change people’s lives.

Primary Responsibilities:





- Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long‑term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
- Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services of Medtronic's products and/or services.
- Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
- Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
- Deliver the highest level of patient care, customer Health Care Professional (HCP) service, support and technical expertise in the hospital, clinic and educational environment, ensuring all activities drive optimal clinical outcomes

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum education requirement is High School certificate (Year 12)
- Experience in sales, clinical support or a related healthcare environment.
- Experience in sales, territory planning or territory management, with the ability to understand business priorities and develop effective customer and account plans.
- Clinical knowledge, or the ability to develop clinical knowledge, with a collaborative, customer- and patient-focused approach to working with clinicians, hospital staff and cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel to support customer and business requirements; travel is estimated to be 25%.
- Valid driver’s license is required
