About the role
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will lead Ward 11 and provide strategic and operational leadership to a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while fostering a positive team culture, driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing workforce and financial resources effectively.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished nursing leader who is passionate about aged care, clinical excellence and developing high-performing teams.
A regular day will see you:
- Leading and supporting nursing and support staff to deliver exceptional, evidence-based patient care.
- Promoting a positive workplace culture through coaching, mentoring, workforce development and performance management.
- Driving quality,
safety and continuous improvement initiatives across the ward.
- Managing staffing, budgets, resources and operational performance to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and support innovation and service improvement.

- Proven senior nursing leadership experience with the ability to inspire, influence and support high-performing teams.
- Strong clinical experience and a commitment to person-centred, evidence-based care for older people.
- Demonstrated management experience in workforce planning, resource management and budget oversight.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
- A commitment to quality, safety, innovation and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
