Who we are
Kip McGrath Education Centres has been helping students build confidence and achieve their learning goals for decades. With a well-established network of education centres in Australia, New Zealand, and other international locations, we provide professional tutoring in English and maths through qualified teachers and proven learning programs.
Behind every successful Kip McGrath centre is a passionate franchisee, and our Support Office team plays an important role in helping our franchise network thrive.
We’re looking for a Franchise Support Specialist to join our team and provide practical, proactive support to Kip McGrath franchisees across the network.
The Opportunity
As a Franchise Support Specialist, you’ll be a key point of contact for our franchisees, helping them navigate the day-to-day operation and growth of their Kip McGrath Education Centre.
This is a relationship-focused role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and turning ideas into action. You’ll work closely with franchisees to understand their goals and challenges, connect them with the right resources and support, and help them make the most of the systems, tools and opportunities available across the Kip McGrath network.
Your success will come from building trusted relationships, providing practical guidance and helping franchisees operate robust, sustainable education businesses.
The Role
Working as part of our Franchise Support team, you will manage relationships with a portfolio of Kip McGrath franchisees and provide ongoing operational and business support.
You’ll have regular conversations with franchisees about their centre performance, opportunities and challenges, helping identify practical actions that can strengthen their business.
You’ll also work closely with teams across Kip McGrath to ensure franchisee feedback is heard, issues are resolved and new initiatives are successfully communicated and adopted across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Kip McGrath franchisees and act as a key point of contact for ongoing support.
- Provide practical guidance to franchisees across the day-to-day operation and development of their centres.
- Hold regular franchisee conversations and reviews to understand performance, opportunities, challenges and support needs.
- Help franchisees identify opportunities to grow student enrolments, improve retention and strengthen centre performance.
- Support franchisees to effectively use Kip McGrath systems, programs, tools and resources.
- Assist franchisees with operational questions and issues, coordinating with internal teams where specialist support is required.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new initiatives, systems and processes across the franchise network.
- Monitor agreed actions and follow up with franchisees to maintain momentum and accountability.
- Identify common franchisee challenges, trends and opportunities and share insights with the wider business.
- Maintain accurate records of franchisee interactions, actions and outcomes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of franchise support resources, processes and ways of working.
- Represent the needs and perspectives of franchisees when collaborating with internal teams.
Experience & About You
You’re a natural relationship builder who enjoys helping people succeed.
You’re comfortable having both supportive and commercially focused conversations and can build credibility with business owners. You listen carefully, ask good questions and are able to turn challenges into practical next steps.
You’ll enjoy this role if you like variety, working with different personalities and being part of a team where your work can have a direct impact on franchisees, their businesses and ultimately the students and families they support.
What you'll bring
- Experience in franchise support, account management, business support, multi-site operations, customer success or a similar relationship-focused role.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Confidence discussing business performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple franchisee relationships and priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team.
- Confidence learning and working across different technology platforms and business systems.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
- Experience within franchising, education or another multi-site network would be highly regarded but is not essential.
Working with us
This is a full-time hybrid position. You’ll need to be able to work from our Sydney office a minimum of two days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days in line with business requirements.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team working with a diverse network of franchise business owners who share a common goal: helping students achieve better educational outcomes.
At Kip McGrath, the work we do at Support Office ultimately supports the teachers, franchisees and centre teams working with students and families every day. It’s an opportunity to combine commercial thinking with work that has a meaningful impact.
