Amarti Wedding & Events Venue | Cowwarr, Gippsland Amarti is seeking experienced, high-performing Front of House professionals to join our hospitality team.

This role is perfect for University Students or those seeking an additional source of income.

Amarti is a premium wedding, events and restaurant venue known for exceptional food, beautiful surroundings and warm, attentive service. Our reputation is incredibly key to us, and every team member plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards our clients and guests expect.

Our venue can be extremely busy, particularly during weddings, large events and peak restaurant services. Everyone must be willing to communicate, support one another and happily assist with any task required to help the service run smoothly.

No task is considered beneath anyone. Whether serving guests, clearing tables, polishing glassware, resetting the restaurant, assisting another section or completing closing duties, every job matters.

Skill and experience are important, but attitude is essential. We are seeking people who bring positive energy to every shift, accept direction graciously and remain helpful and composed under pressure.

Restaurant Service

Our Front of House team is responsible for creating a welcoming, polished and enjoyable restaurant experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave. Restaurant service at Amarti requires warmth, confidence, efficiency and strong attention to detail. Team members must be able to manage their responsibilities while remaining aware of the wider dining room and supporting colleagues whenever required.

Restaurant duties may include

- Welcoming guests and seating tables
- Presenting menus and confidently explaining dishes and beverages
- Developing a thorough knowledge of our menu, ingredients and service style
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately
- Using the point-of-sale system and processing payments
- Providing attentive table service without making guests feel rushed
- Carrying and serving multiple plates confidently
- Monitoring tables and anticipating guests’ needs
- Communicating dietary requirements accurately with the kitchen
- Recommending food, wine and beverages where appropriate
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables efficiently
- Preparing the restaurant before service




- Polishing cutlery and glassware
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue
- Assisting with end-of-service cleaning and closing duties
- Working closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Front of House team

Our restaurant can become extremely busy, and team members must be able to work with urgency while maintaining a calm, professional and friendly manner.

Wedding and Event Service

Weddings and private events require a different style of service, with careful timing, teamwork and attention to detail.

Event duties may include

- Preparing ceremony, cocktail and reception areas
- Setting tables and ensuring all spaces meet Amarti’s presentation standards
- Welcoming and directing guests throughout the venue
- Providing tray, table, food and beverage service
- Serving large numbers of guests efficiently
- Following detailed event timelines and supervisors’ instructions
- Assisting with room changes and service transitions
- Responding practically to changing requirements throughout an event
- Maintaining exceptional cleanliness behind the scenes and in guest areas
- Completing pack-down, cleaning and late-night closing duties
- Happily assisting with any reasonable task required during the shift

Weddings are among the most key occasions in our clients’ lives. Our team must understand the responsibility that comes with delivering these events and remain professional, attentive and discreet at all times.

- Physically capable of working long, active shifts across a large venue
- Available primarily from Friday through Sunday, including evenings and late nights

Availability and Working Hours

Most shifts take place between Friday to Sunday and may involve long hours and late-night finishes, particularly during weddings and private events. Applicants must have reliable transport and be genuinely available to work evenings, weekends and late nights. Due to the nature of hospitality and events, finishing times may vary. Team members must remain available until their rostered responsibilities, including cleaning, pack-down and closing duties, have been completed.

Experience Required

- Previous hospitality experience is essential
- Wedding or premium event experience is highly regarded
- Experience in busy restaurants, functions or large-scale venues is preferred
- Confidence carrying multiple plates and providing table service is highly regarded
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it

Comprehensive in-house training will be provided so every team member understands Amarti’s restaurant service, event procedures, venue standards and approach to guest care.
